About Mind My Guest
Mind My Guest was born from my background and training in luxury hotels, short term accommodation, property management and HR.
My previous roles include regional coordinator for one of the world's most exclusive luxury hotel brands and the Wellington representative for one of Australia’s largest corporate accommodation providers, looking after their local properties and guests.
Complementing my professional background is over 25 years of real world experience as a home & investment property owner. I have bought and sold several properties and been a landlord and tenant here in Wellington and Australia. I also project managed the renovation of a large Wellington home and love pulling out the toolkit.
So not only do I know how to look after your guests, I also know how to look after your property.
Apart from my family, travel has always been my passion and I use every trip as a opportunity to gather ideas and meet with and learn from others in this industry. I firmly believe that being a regular traveller makes for an even better host and I know from personal experience, what makes for good and bad accommodation and what short-term guests and long-term residents want and need.
The arrival of sites such as Airbnb has enhanced travel, by catering to those who are looking for unique or spacious accommodation that has the comforts of home. I love the experience of staying in a hotel, but I also know that a hotel room doesn't always suit.
With that in mind, I formed Mind My Guest to provide a service to furnished property owners who don’t have the time or experience required to provide short and long term accommodation.
