What is the difference between Mind My Guest and a standard property manager?
For a start, we are at your property on a regular basis, often once or twice a week.
Standard property managers advertise your property, show prospective tenants around, do the paperwork and then leave your property alone – aside from (what should be, but often aren’t, regular and thorough) inspections. Often the first you will hear about something that is in a state of disrepair or requires maintenance at your property is during inspections or when the tenant moves out. A good tenant might inform the property manager immediately, but many don’t…after all, if it’s not an urgent issue that affects them, they don’t care as they are only renting. This means that little issues later become bigger problems, which might cause further damage to your property and cost more to fix.
At Mind My Guest, we manage your property in a very different way. Properties rented out on Airbnb and for short term rely on positive reviews for future bookings, meaning they need to be well appointed, furnished and maintained to help ensure positive feedback and reviews from guests. Because we are at your property checking guests in and out, it means we are regularly inspecting it to ensure the property is always in the best presentable condition. Regular inspections mean we attend to issues before they become problems.
Can you list my property on other websites, apart from Airbnb?
Yes, we can. And we will advise you what the best options are for your property.
Can you help me get my place ready for Airbnb?

Am I covered if something happens to my property?
If you list through Airbnb they offer a host guarantee of up to $1.3 million NZD. However we recommend our clients have full insurance and can advise you on options for your property.
I am already an Airbnb host, can you help me?
Being an Airbnb host can be a rewarding experience but it's also time consuming and requires you to be on-call 24/7 for your guests. It also means you have to rely on friends or family to manage your property and guests if you head out of town or need help due to an unexpected emergency or change of plans.
